Department

Prosthodontics & Implantology

Missing teeth, crowns, bridges & dentures

Prosthodontics rebuilds what has been lost — one tooth, several teeth or an entire bite. The department covers implants, crowns and bridges, removable and implant-supported dentures, and full mouth rehabilitation where years of wear, decay or grinding have changed how the teeth meet.

Implant positions are planned on CBCT before surgery, and crown work is milled in the hospital's own CAD/CAM laboratory, which shortens the wait between impression and fit.

How a case usually runs

  1. Step 1

    Assessment & 3D scan

Bone volume, gum health, bite and opposing teeth are assessed together, not tooth by tooth.

  2. Step 2

    Written treatment plan

Options — implant, bridge or denture — with costs, number of visits and expected timeline for each.

  3. Step 3

    Surgical and lab phase

Implant placement and healing, or preparation and CAD/CAM fabrication of crowns and bridges.

  4. Step 4

    Fit & maintenance

Final fit, bite refinement and a maintenance schedule, since implants and crowns need professional cleaning to last.

What it costs

Indicative rates for this department come from the hospital's published rate list. A written estimate for your own case is given before treatment starts.

Common questions

How long does implant treatment take from start to finish?

A straightforward single implant is typically placed in one short surgical visit, with the crown fitted after the implant integrates with bone — commonly a few months later. Immediate-loading options exist for selected cases and are decided on the CBCT scan, not in advance.

Implant, bridge or denture — how do I choose?

It depends on how many teeth are missing, the bone available, the health of the neighbouring teeth and your budget. The department gives you the trade-offs of each in writing, including what maintenance each option needs later.

Is there indicative pricing available before I visit?

Yes. Indicative starting rates for implants, crowns and dentures are published on our treatment rates page, and a written estimate specific to your case is given before treatment starts.
