Tooth filling cost in Jaipur
A tooth-coloured composite filling is ₹ 1,500 – 2,000 at our hospital, depending on the size and depth of the cavity. A temporary filling to protect a tooth between visits is ₹ 500. Where decay has reached the nerve, root canal treatment is needed rather than a filling.

What changes the final number
- The size and depth of the cavity, and how many surfaces of the tooth are involved
- Number of teeth filled in the same sitting
- Whether the decay has reached the pulp, which changes the treatment to root canal
- Whether a heavily broken-down tooth needs a crown rather than a filling

Common questions about the cost
Why did my filling quote change after the X-ray?
Because decay visible on the surface is often deeper than it looks. If the radiograph shows the nerve is involved, the tooth needs root canal treatment — the honest change of plan is safer than filling over an infected pulp.
How long does a composite filling last?
Well-placed composite fillings commonly last several years, and longer with good hygiene and no heavy grinding. Large fillings in back teeth wear faster than small ones.
Is a temporary filling enough for now?
Only as a short-term measure between visits. Left in place for months it wears through and the cavity progresses.
