What dental treatment costs in Jaipur — published, dated, itemised

Most dental prices in the city are quoted verbally and never written down, which makes them impossible to compare. This page is our published reference: indicative rates for 35 procedures at our Malviya Nagar hospital, plus what actually makes two quotes differ. Free to quote and link with attribution.

How to use this page

These are indicative rates for planning, not a quotation. Your own figure depends on the clinical findings, the material chosen and the imaging the case needs — every patient here gets a written, itemised estimate before treatment begins. If you hold an RGHS, CGHS, ECHS, RHB, Railways or Saras entitlement, the scheme's listed rate applies instead for listed packages.

Indicative rates by category

OPD & Diagnostics

OPD fees are payable at the time of consultation. Investigations are billed separately.

  • OPD Fees₹ 350
  • IOPA (Intra-oral Periapical X-ray)₹ 200

Tooth Extraction

Simple extractions are quick and usually done under local anaesthesia. Surgical and impacted cases may require more time and imaging.

  • Extraction — Mobile Tooth₹ 1,000
  • Extraction — Firm Tooth₹ 1,200
  • Surgical Extraction₹ 5,000
  • Impaction — 3rd Molar (Wisdom Tooth)₹ 4,000 – 5,000
  • Impacted Canine₹ 4,000 – 5,000

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Complex surgical procedures are planned on CBCT/OPG and performed under local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia as clinically indicated.

  • RCT with Hemisection₹ 5,000
  • IMF (Intermaxillary Fixation)₹ 8,000
  • Fractured Plate Removal₹ 10,000 – 20,000
  • Cyst / Tumour Removal₹ 20,000
  • Sutures₹ 500

Root Canal & Endodontics

Root canal treatment is charged per tooth, regardless of the number of roots. Re-RCT needs extra time because of old filling material.

  • RCT (Anterior – Posterior)₹ 5,000
  • Re-RCT₹ 6,000
  • Post & Core₹ 3,500
  • Pulpotomy₹ 2,000
  • Pulpectomy₹ 4,500

Fillings & Restorations

Composite filling rates depend on the size and depth of the cavity. Temporary fillings protect the tooth between visits.

  • Temporary Filling₹ 500
  • Composite Filling₹ 1,500 – 2,000

Gums, Scaling & Periodontal Surgery

Scaling and polishing are preventive; flap surgery is for advanced gum disease. Splinting stabilises loose teeth.

  • Full Mouth Scaling₹ 2,000
  • Polishing₹ 500
  • Gingivectomy per Quadrant₹ 2,000
  • Splinting — Canine to Canine₹ 2,500
  • Flap Surgery + Affected Quadrant₹ 8,000
  • Apicectomy (Anterior – Posterior)₹ 10,000

Crowns, Bridges & Dentures

Crowns and dentures are laboratory-made. Metal ceramic and acrylic options are available; zirconia and CAD/CAM crowns are quoted separately.

  • Metal Cap₹ 4,000
  • Metal Crown with Acrylic Facing₹ 4,500
  • RPD (Removable Partial Denture) — up to 3 teeth / more teeth₹ 1,500 – 2,000
  • Complete Denture (Metal / Acrylic)₹ 20,000 – 30,000

Dental Implants

Implant cost depends on the implant system, bone quality, need for bone grafting or sinus lift, and the type of final crown/bridge. The range below is for a single implant with standard crown.

  • Dental Implant₹ 25,000 – 50,000

Braces & Orthodontics

Orthodontic fees cover the full course of treatment including periodic adjustments, retainers and emergency visits. Ceramic braces are less visible than metal but require more chair time.

  • Fixed Orthodontic Appliance — Metal Braces₹ 40,000 – 60,000
  • Fixed Orthodontic Appliance — Ceramic Braces₹ 50,000 – 90,000
  • Expansion Plate₹ 4,000
  • Occlusal Night Guard₹ 4,000

Children's Dentistry

Paediatric procedures are handled by specialists trained in child behaviour management. Space maintainers protect the eruption path of permanent teeth.

  • Space Maintainers₹ 4,000

Why two quotes for "the same" treatment differ

Complexity of the same-named procedure

A firm-tooth extraction and a surgical extraction of an impacted third molar carry the same word 'extraction' and very different chair time, imaging and rates.

Material and system chosen

Crown, aligner and implant costs are driven mainly by the material or system selected, which is why the estimate should name it.

Diagnostics the case genuinely needs

Some cases are planned from an IOPA; implants and jaw surgery usually need CBCT. Imaging is billed for what the case needs, not by default.

Whether the laboratory work is in-house

Crowns and prosthetics milled in an in-house CAD/CAM laboratory shorten the number of visits, which changes the total cost of getting the work done rather than the headline rate alone.

Your panel entitlement

Government and PSU panels have their own listed rates for listed packages, so the applicable figure for an entitled patient is the scheme's, not the private one.

Six questions to ask before you accept any dental estimate

  1. 1

Is the quote itemised per procedure, per tooth?

A full-mouth figure with no breakup cannot be compared with anything. Ask for the procedure name, the tooth number and the rate for each line.

  2. 2

What exactly is included in an implant price?

An implant fee may or may not include the abutment, the crown, imaging and the surgical stage. Two 'implant prices' are only comparable when they cover the same components.

  3. 3

    Are diagnostics billed separately?

OPD consultation, IOPA X-ray, OPG and CBCT are separate line items almost everywhere. Confirm which of them the quote already contains.

  4. 4

Which material or brand is quoted?

Zirconia, metal-ceramic and full-metal crowns are different products at different prices. The same is true for aligner brands and implant systems. The material should be written on the estimate.

  5. 5

How many visits, and what happens if the plan changes?

Ask how many appointments the plan needs and what triggers a revision — for example an extraction that turns out to be surgical rather than simple.

  6. 6

Is a panel or scheme rate applicable to you?

If you hold an RGHS, CGHS, ECHS, RHB, Railways or Saras entitlement, the scheme's listed rate applies to listed packages, not the private rate.

Reusing this reference

Journalists, consumer groups, colleges and patient forums may quote any figure on this page provided it is attributed to Dr. Amit Sharma Super Speciality Dental Hospital, Jaipur, with the update date (3 September 2026) and a link to this page so readers reach the current version. Rates are reviewed and re-dated when they change; please do not republish a figure without its date.
