Fixed braces can correct virtually any malocclusion, including cases that aligners cannot address predictably. Modern brackets are smaller and more comfortable than the appliances most adults remember from their own childhood.

Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured and far less visible than metal. Lingual braces sit behind the teeth and are invisible from the front entirely.

The right age to start

A first orthodontic assessment at around seven or eight years is worthwhile — not because treatment usually starts then, but because crossbites, severe crowding and jaw growth discrepancies are far easier to intercept while the child is growing.

Comprehensive treatment usually begins once most permanent teeth have erupted, around eleven to thirteen. Adults can be treated at any age provided the gums and bone are healthy.

Extraction or non-extraction

Severe crowding sometimes requires premolar extractions to create space. This is a diagnosis based on space analysis and facial profile, not a preference, and we explain the reasoning and the alternatives before starting.

Where expansion or interproximal reduction can achieve the space needed without extraction, that route is taken.

Living with braces

Hard and sticky food breaks brackets and adds months to treatment. Cleaning takes longer and matters more — decalcification marks around brackets are permanent and entirely preventable.

We fit patients with interdental brushes and review hygiene at every adjustment visit rather than only at the end.

What your treatment journey looks like

  1. Step 1
    Orthodontic assessment

OPG, lateral cephalogram, photographs, models and space analysis.

  2. Step 2
    Bonding

Brackets placed and the first archwire fitted, usually in a single appointment.

  3. Step 3
    Adjustments

Visits every four to six weeks as the wire sequence progresses.

  4. Step 4
    Debond & retain

Brackets removed, polishing, then fixed and removable retainers fitted the same day.

Frequently asked questions

How much do braces cost in Jaipur?

Metal braces commonly range from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 for a full course, and ceramic braces from about ₹40,000 to ₹75,000. Lingual braces are priced higher and quoted case by case.

How long will I wear them?

Most comprehensive cases take eighteen to twenty-four months. Simpler alignment-only cases can finish in under a year.

Are ceramic braces weaker?

Modern ceramic brackets are strong enough for routine treatment. They can be marginally slower in some movements and cost more, which is the honest trade for the appearance.

Why this matters for your case

Metal & Ceramic Braces in a hospital setting, not a single chair

Most dental care in Jaipur is delivered from single-chair clinics. The difference shows up when a case needs bone work, sedation, inpatient monitoring or a second speciality on the same day.
